Amavubi head to Tunisia for CHAN camp, 23 players and teams names

Rwanda Men’s national football team, Amavubi, departs this afternoon for Tunisia to start a 10-camp in preparation for Total 2018 African Nations Championship scheduled to begin on January 13 in Morocco.

The 31-man delegation comprised of 23 players and 8 officials is expected to depart from Kigali International Airport at 16:00 aboard Qatar Airways were they will spend a night in Doha before connecting to Tunis on Tuesday morning as reporterd by Ferwafa.

The 23-man squad was named on Friday, December 29, 2017 by the Amavubi technical team represented by assistant coach Mashami Vincent alongside goalkeeper cpach Thomas Higiro.

Amavubi head coach Antoine Hey will link up with the team on Tuesday morning in Tunis before getting to intensive training later in the evening.

In Tunisia, Rwanda will play two friendly matches against Sudan on January 5 and Algeria on January 10, 2018 before heading to Tanger in Morocco on January 11, 2018.

The CHAN tournament will take place between 13th January to 4th February 2018 in Morocco.

Rwanda is in group C alongside Libya, Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. Group C will be based in Tangier City.
